This is a photo of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Dick Trickle after Jr. flipped at Daytona Speedway in 1998. It was during a Busch 300 when he flipped coming out of turn 2 on the backstretch and landed on Trickle's #64. I was sitting about 39 rows up in the grandstand and I was fortunate (lucky!) to have this happen right in front of me. They continued sliding on the grass for a few hundred yards. This photo appeared in Stock Car Racing magazine in September 1999 and also won for me a Wittnauer watch! (Gary Gasper Photo)
