NALMS Gears Up for 2006

March 4, 2006 - With the opening weekend of the 2006
Northern Allstar Late Model Series (NALMS) season being a mere
month away from its opening salvo, a new race director
has been named. Shawn Hall of Bloomington, IL has been named
the Race Director for the 2006 season, replacing Gary Herbert
who stepped down at the end of the 2005 campaign.
Shawn is the owner and operator of Accurate Towing, also located
in Bloomington, IL and is looking forward to stepping into his
new role for the 2006 campaign. Although he has never been in
a position of authority in a racing series, Shawn has plenty
of knowledge and know how being associated with the sport in
some capacity or another for 32 years. He has been involved with
operating racing teams including Modifieds, Late Models, and
ARCA cars for the past several years. With the series running
several tracks in the Illinois and Indiana area, his familiarity
with their methods of operations will be beneficial to maintaining
a smooth operation for the 2006 season. Shawn is looking forward
to the season and has visions of being part of taking the NALMS
series to new heights in the years ahead.
The 2006 NALMS tour is scheduled to kick off on the weekend
of Friday April 7th to Sunday April 9th with a tripleheader at
3 storied Illinois racing facilities. The tour will kick
off at Godfrey Speedway on Friday the 7th, then head to Mount
Vernon Raceway on Saturday the 8th and then finish of the weekend
at Tri-City Speedway on Sunday the 9th.
